No time to be negative when you see these magnificent photographic beaches!

Are you a professional photographer – maybe you are an enthusiast who just loves to travel to beautiful locations and take the best photographs that make your friends and family go wow! Australia is one country in the world that boasts many beautiful and famous beaches, but there are some that are just known to be the ultimate beaches to take magnificent photographs from. Some top photographers consider the time of day, sunrise and sunset pictures to be the best features – enabling them to capture full and in-depth colors of the beach before the afternoon shadows start creeping across.

There are some absolute favorite beaches in Australia that are both isolated and unique and easy to access. Here are just some of the top beaches to photograph, amongst others of course!

Hill Inlet – on Airlie Beach in the Whitsunday
First of all, this magnificent beach offers visitors free entry. While the tides are shifting, the white glistening beaches and the crystal clear blue moods of the sea help photographers to create the magnificent mosaics that people gasp about. It drives them to come and see these places themselves. There are magnificent lookouts at Hill Inlet that give photographers the opportunity to take in the fusions of color. Some photographers want their photos taken from seaplanes or helicopters.

Zenith Beach – at Shoal Bay, NSW
Take a walk made from timber slats lined with dune grasses down to this glorious greatly photographed beach. While you are busy with photography, you will not be able to resist a swim and to admire the Tomaree Peaks on the north and the Stephens Peaks on the south. This beach is also noted for its wonderful surfing opportunities when the northeast swells occur. Walk along 400 m of the beach which is backed by a fore dune of over 19-20 m high, linking Zenith Beach to another beach behind it, Shoal Beach.

Garie Beach, Royal National Park, NSW
This magnificent photographic beach lies at the southern end of the Royal National Park, NSW, south of Sydney. Photographs are careful to take their zooms and tripods because they know the right time of the year to catch sight of whales. It’s a photographer’s dream because it is preserved and protected by the National Parks of Australia to keep it in its purest form. It certainly is an unforgettable beach experience for photographers and visitors alike; noted to be a truly an ‘exceptional’ beach. It boasts magnificent beauty of forests and water, rated as the critics ‘choice’ Just look at these fire painting pics taken at Garie Beach. It’s no wonder that this beach is sought after for commercials as well.

Palm Beach, Sydney
Definitely a photographer’s dream, Palm Beach is one of Sydney’s most loved and best beaches, even being used as the fictitious Summer Bay town in the loved soapy, ‘Home and Away’. Full of energy, it’s not easy to explain just why it is so sought after but one reason is that it is so scenically beautiful. At the one end lies Barrenjoey Head for stunning views as well as spots of the humpback whales with 2 kilometers of golden sands and turquoise waters. Because it is such a unique place, you can find famous celebrities gathering here to spend their holidays, the likes of Mick Jagger, Guy Sebastian, Kelly Slater and the like – see why it’s such a photographer’s paradise?

Kangaroo Island (KI), South Australia
This is one of Australia’s biggest islands which mean plenty of coastline photography opportunities which never disappoint the photographer. There are the lichen-coated tors of granite from the Remarkable Rocks that are probably the most recognizable feature – they offer amazingly extraordinary shapes. The photographer is offered fascinating foregrounds to ocean backgrounds. Another special landmark on this island is Admirals Arch where photographers love to photograph the sunset through the rock bridge that has stalactites hanging from the roof.

Other magnificent beaches worth exploring for photography purposes are Gold Coast, Pennington Bay, Stokes Bay, Hanson Bay and many more. Australia beaches just simply are a photographer’s dream, period. With the fantastic variety on offer, any photographer will go back home with fantastic beach captures, holding time in the pictures that only photography can bring.

Our Personal favourite Photography Beaches include Noosa Main Beach, Seal Rocks and Hill Inlet. But living in Australia we are so lucky to have so many wonderful beaches to choose from. The most important factor for us when taking photos is the time of the day, Sunrise and Sunset are often the best time but if you want to capture the full colours of a beach you will need to take your photos before afternoon shadows creep into them.
